...to create are those with an Old Hollywood theme.
I already have a bunch, which you can see by clicking HERE, and I intend to continue posting videos of that sort once Halloween is through.
Come to think of it, I've squeezed a few of them in despite there being a greater demand for All Hallows' Eve tutorials at this time of year. There are at least a couple more that I am about to upload with a combined Old Hollywood-Halloween motif.
One that you can look forward to is a look I am calling "Marilyn Monroe's Ghost," which is essentially Marilyn Monroe makeup in (mostly) grayscale. Pair it with an elegant outfit in either black, gray, silver, white, or off-white to complete the look of a faded Marilyn.
As I write this, I have yet to post the video, so stay tuned for it on my YouTube channel if the concept sounds appealing to you.
'Til next time,
~Lea
Hi Lea!
ReplyDeleteI really adore how you did this make-up look for Marilyn Monroe's ghost!!! It's a totally new twist on the look and of dressing up as her for Halloween!
I wanted to tell you I used to love make-up and everything about it..I felt like an artist using my face as my canvas..it was a way to express my spirit..I'm sure you feel the same way!
I've been battling some personal things and completely gave up on it..but watching your videos has ignited something in me again to maybe get back to doing it and just enjoying you apply the versatile looks.
I wanted to ask..I love the makeup done in Memoirs of a Geisha..is there anyway you could make a tutorial for that on how to do the makeup? I wanted to do that for Halloween this year to maybe be a Geisha Doll..
Thank you Lea! I have to watch the rest of your videos as I have only seen a few but I LOVE how you help others to create love and soul expression through the artistry of makeup!
Thank you!!! Lisa
Hi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your message. I really appreciate you sharing a little bit about yourself with me. Absolutely, I know what you mean--for me, makeup application is synonymous with playtime. It's just like painting or even using crayons on a coloring book to experience joy through artistic expression. As for the Geisha look, it's a little too late for me to do that right now, as I have a few videos I have yet to edit and post before Halloween, and there are only a few days remaining now before the 31st. I would've loved to include it in this year's All Hallows' Eve tutorials if I'd gotten your request sooner. I thought about squeezing it in, but didn't want to rush as I know I wouldn't be able to do justice to such a precise and artistic look. However, I did come across a video of a Geisha doing full-face makeup. Here's the link, in case you want to see it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=490PfcB_ujM
I would love to keep in touch, though, so I invite you to be part of my Facebook page at http://facebook.com/yourmostbeautifullife if you aren't yet. Thanks again and enjoy your Halloween!
